Hannah Peel about the Unheard Delia (Parts 1 & 2)
"It took time to work out which bits to cut from the whole interview. Naturally you don’t want to, but there is light and shade to every story and so this is why I decided to create two parts.
The interview has a beautiful thread throughout that really honours her love of music in its simplest form. Playing and being absorbed by sound. So, encompassing those cherished moments, her history and her passion this became Part 1.
Leaving Part 2 to be the darker side, exploring the story we might have heard, an undercurrent of politics and broken desires. With her starting to explore new exciting avenues again with Pete Kember, before sadly leaving us a year later for a different world and an open question to what could have been"
